RE: “SiteOrigin Premium”
Your Payment Process is a Total Joke and very Confusing… I’m sure it’s costing you sales. It cost you mine. Tried to purchase “SiteOrigin Premium. Email said: Use coupon EMAIL20 for a 20% discount. Find Out More”…
After filling in all the required information following a link, I pasted in the offer code from the email; the page then said $79 (not $99, as the discount was applied); When you click continue… the next window requires credit card info (which made me think you ACCEPT Credit Cards), No mention of “”friggin’ PayPal in this screen/page at this point)… I ENTER MY CREDIT CARD INFO: THE BUTTON WE ARE REQUIRED TO CLICK SAYS $99.00 (not $79.00), WHICH MAKES ONE THINK THE DISCOUNT IS NOT BEING APPLIED…(?) What was I supposed to think? The button said $99.00. I had no idea if the coupon was being applied… after seeing a button I am required to click that says $99. I cancelled and started over.
This time I took screen shots along the way… and clicked the $99.00 Button after starting over. I was then asked to log-in because it recognized my email address. >> Message indicated: “You now need to Log-In because we recognized your Site Origin account via you email address”… So, I Log-In only to get all this -mumbo jumBO- about paying via PayPal in the next screen.
WHY? would I want to use PayPal when I have a credit Card. In any case, I continued… Only to be Logged Out and advised to Start Over after a PayPal window appeared.
I’m Done! Gonna head over to ThereForest… Sorry guys. You should attempt to buy your own software and see what it takes… it’s not transparent. The process started a PayPal account for me using my credit card, something I didn’t want! Got an email advising me. Convoluted to say the least. Bye!
Hi Oneminuteblues,
I’m very sorry to hear about your frustrating experience! :(
Preface: We make use of Easy Digital Downloads for selling SiteOrigin Premium. I’ll definitely be forwarding your feedback to them.
Could you please send me a copy of your screenshots? I just tried the checkout process for myself and wasn’t able to replicate the PayPal issue of the discount not applying. The screenshots should help us in getting this issue resolved when we talk to the developers about it.
So, to clarify, based on your wording it sounds like you selected the credit card payment method, filled out the form and then submitted it. Then you were redirected to PayPal, is this correct? if so, that definitely shouldn’t happen.
Once again, I’m very sorry about this!
