Yoast Seo says I have zero text. Why?

Hi there,
I’ve read old threads with this issue and someon from Site Origin said it was fixed in 2017, but I’m having the issue in 2019. Yoast analysis of my page says, “Text length: The text contains 0 words. This is far below the recommended minimum of 300 words.”
Please tell me if this actually effects my search engine ranking.
Please also tell me how to fix this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Matt

    Thanks for posting :)

Content analysis doesn’t impact Google’s ability to crawl your page and rank it. Issues here pertain to Page Builder’s ability to send data to Yoast for analysis. There has been a lot of effort put into this, on an ongoing basis. Yoast SEO isn’t a fixed plugin, it changes. That’s to say the problems from 2017 aren’t necessarily the problems of 2019.

For the list of widgets that should be sending content for analysis to Yoast, please, see this issue report: https://github.com/siteorigin/siteorigin-panels/issues/675. See the list under “For reference, the following widgets are currently accounted for:”

What is the difference between “text” and “site origin editor?” Those are the only two text widgets in the list.

    Hi, I Work Here

Text is the core WordPress Text widget. SiteOrigin Editor is the SiteOrigin Editor widget. You’ll see them as separate widgets when adding a widget and searching Text or Editor.

If you’d like us to inspect the page concerned, please send a link. Thanks.

Hi Matt, thanks for the link. If possible, please send us an export of the page. This can be done by editing the page in Page Builder then click LayoutsImport/ExportDownload Layout. Please, upload the layout to WeTransfer or Dropbox or similar and send us the link.

Thanks :) I do see over 400 words. Please, see the bottom of the screenshot here: https://imgur.com/a/ub2zvZz. Let me ask Alex here at SiteOrigin if he knows why you might be getting 0 words.

Alex asks if you’re using the latest version of Page Builder, version 2.10.6. If you are, go to SettingsPage BuilderContent and ensure Copy Content is enabled. Alex is also seeing 431 words with the layout in question.
