Yoast Seo clashing with SiteOrigin – Missing Keywords

Yoast SEO gives me errors such as

“”The focus keyword doesn’t appear in the first paragraph of the copy. Make sure the topic is clear immediately.””

when the keyword is definitely in the first paragraph, and

“”The keyword density is 0.2%, which is too low; the focus keyword was found 3 times.””

which means it’s spotting the keyword somewhere, but not everywhere.

Is there a solution for this?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Jessie,

Unfortunately, the first report looks (I haven’t found a workaround) to be unavoidable due to how Yoast checks this. Basically, it factors HTML in this check rather than only checking the first paragraphs which is why this is happening.

The second flag I’m not too sure about. Can you send me an export of the page you’re working on? To do this please open up the page in the editor and click the Layout button in the Page Builder toolbar. Then click import/export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io.

Please note that these two flags are purely Yoast analysis flags – Google will pick up on the keyword being used in the first paragraph without issue and it’ll also pick up on any other instance of the keyword being used.
