WP Sydney Theme Website-Widgets disappeared???

My WP Sydney Theme website was working flawlessly until today when I noticed that 2 widgets that I have been using for my pages (Sydney FP:Services Type A and Sydney FP:Call To Action) are now not available in my “add new widgets” pick list. When I did a search, they didn’t even come up as available. What happened?? Why/how did they just disappear and is there a fix for this?

thank you,

Bob

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Bob,

We’re currently having issues with the widgets bundled with Sydney – I’m very sorry about this! We’re currently working on a fix. Please rollback SiteOrigin Page Builder to the last version with the WP Rollback plugin. Once installed find SiteOrigin page Builder at WP AdminPluginsInstalled Plugins and Click Rollback.

thank you. Also, I did as you instructed and it is functional again. Another issue I’m having is on my Testimonials, I’ll I have edited one of them (removed an image yesterday) and the image is still there in the active website today. I’ve checked my WP-admin page and the image is gone in the testimonial section but it is still visible on the website. This is after I’ve cleared my cache. Why the lag time?

    thank you

    Hi Bob,

    Sorry for the delay.
Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Bob,

To clarify, which images aren’t meant to be present? For reference, Eric and Becci both have images for me.
If it’s not of them, can you double check those specific features aren’t setup to display the image?

Yes, those images are fine. I took Dave’s image away on my WordPress site and it wasn’t gone on the actual website until the next day. Another example-Last night I added another testimonial (Matthew) and after I edited his references at the bottom (Weezer, Radiohead, etc…), the edits I made are still not active on website even though they are saved/updated on my WordPress site (on the actual website it should also include Natalie Merchant and Juliana Hatfield). Is there a particular reason why there is a delay from the time I make edits on the WP site to when it goes live on the website?

Even now, when I’m logged into my WP site and view the website, the “What Are People Saying?” page looks exactly how I want it to but when I log out and visit that same page, it looks like a complete mess with things jumbled everywhere.

    This is SO frustrating.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Bob

This problem sounds like it might be a caching issue. The first thing to check is server-side caching through plugins like W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache, etc. If you have any of these caching/performance plugins installed, try clearing their cache and see if that helps.

It might also be browser cache. Try clearing your browser cache, and then refreshing the page to see if that helps.

You can read more about this sort of issue on the WordPress codex.

    Hi Bob,

Ah. I misread this sentence “This is after I’ve cleared my cache” as you clearing your website cache, not your browser cache – I’m sorry for the misunderstanding on my part. Yes, Greg’s reply would be the reason for this. To clarify, you’re using WP Super Cache.

You can clear it by navigating to WP AdminSettingsWP Super Cache and click the Delete Cache button.
