I recently update WP to 5.5.
I was having problems in the admin, but only on Firefox. The SO content showed as text and a SO shortcode.
I installed the Enable Jquery Migrate Helper plug in you mentioned in another thread, and everything worked in Firefox.
In Google Chrome everything worked fine without the enable jquery plugin.
However, I just deactivated the EJMH plug in and deleted it for another purpose, and everything is still working in Firefox.
Firefox ver: 78.1.0esr
Chrome ver: 84.0.4147.135
Hi, thanks for reaching out, I’m glad to hear you’re making progress.
Is your SiteOrigin functionality now functioning normally?
yes it is. I just find it odd how it is still working after removing the plug in.
If a plugin produces an error on the page it can prevent other plugins from functioning normally on the page. It’s strange that the issue was only presenting in Firefox though. If the issue re-occurs, please, let us know and we’ll take a look.
I didn’t get any errors per se. The EJMH plug in made everything work in Firefox, but then I turned the that plug in off, and everything still worked in Firefox. Perhaps it was a cache issue that just happened to get resolved at the same time. Oh well. It works now. : )
Indeed, caching might explain the passing nature of the issue.
