Hi,

I sat down for hours trying to figure out how to add a photo across my blog that moves when you scroll.

I place the photo in the row background instead of the widget and edit the layout on settings on background to fixed.

It looks amazing on the blog but doesn’y work at all on mobile or ipad.

I’ve changed it to Parralax which fixes it on mobile and ipad but it doesnt have the same effect.

Is there a way I can use the fixed setting for desktop and have the photo behave like a static photo on mobile and ipad?

    Hi Joanna,

Unfortunately, no. Apple and Google have both restricted the use of Fixed backgrounds on mobile devices for performance related reasons. Parallax works as it’s a custom solution while fixed backgrounds rely on standard CSS functionality. Sorry mate. :(
