I’m making a child theme for North. I have made changes to both the 404-page and the footer. I understand I can include my edited files in the child theme. If the 404 or footer pages are updated in the parent theme, what will happen then? Possibly break? Am I missing something? This seems like a not very elegant solution.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi XGrape,

Basically, yes. You’ll need to compare the footer after each update to ensure compatibility.
We don’t actually include a 404 page so you won’t need to worry about that one.
