WordPress update removed content from PageBuilder

I updated WordPress today – and I’ve lost my PageBuilder tabs along the top:
Page Builder has moved to the very bottom of the page in existing posts – and is empty.

All my existing content is now not within Page Buidler.

If I create a new page/post – the Page Builder tabs are along the top – but the Insert Row button has no affect – so I can’t seem to use it.

I’m using the latest Safari on a MacPro, and the Premium theme ‘Create’ from ‘ThemeTrust’

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi J

Sorry to hear about the hassle.

The most likely reason for this is a JavaScript conflict of some sorts. Please, try working through the below process and let me know how it goes:

    //

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

Thank you for your reply. I have managed to sort it out.
I had a bundled Page Builder with Theme CREATE from ThemeTrust.
I had to download the theme to my computer, remove Page Builder, and reinstall it from the new download.
    It’s all working perfectly now.
    Thanks so much.

Hey guys. I’m experiencing a similar issue. The SiteOrigin Page Builder is activated but not showing up next to the Edit Page section next to the Visual & Text editor. It disappeared after I made the update to WordPress 4.5. I followed the instructions to disable all of the other plugins to troubleshoot but it appears Page Builder is the plugin that is the culprit. I also have the ThemeTrust Create theme installed that had SiteBuilder bundled.

I really don’t want to have to delete the plugin, reinstall and lose multiple pages of the site I have already created in order to fix this update error. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

I deleted the plugin, reinstalled it from a newly downloaded theme and I didn't loose any previous work.

      Hi, I Work Here

      Hi @jharbourne

      Thanks for the feedback.

It’s hard for me to comment on what will happen with themes that have Page Builder bundled. Usually, those are forks of Page Builder so in those cases, the question should be ideally sent to the theme creator as they’d know best.

In the case of running Page Builder by SiteOrigin, original and unbundled, there will be no data loss from deleting the plugin and reinstalling it.

Hi, I have the same issue – the page builder tab has gone and I use a theme which automatically attached page builder. I am not a web person so can you please explain in steps what I need to do. I am sure it is not a plugin issue as I have not added any – the only thing I did was click updates. Thank you in advance

I have gone to thinkup site and downloaded both the theme and pagebuilder again. I could not re-install the theme as it already existed. I uploaded page builder 2.4.4 and it still does not work. Can you please help…. Thanks

    Capture

I have now deleted the plugin for page builder and re-loaded the new version. It still does not work and now I get this where the page builder tab used to be and it asks me if I wish to return the page to normal page editor and remove page builder.

      Hi, I Work Here

Hi Alex, kindly, open a new support thread and I’ll be happy to assist further. This thread belongs to @jharbourne and is now resolved. Each WordPress install is a little different which is why, just like on the WordPress.org forums, we ask that you please, open a thread if you’re asking a question vs helping out. I’ll be happy to jump yours up the priority list and help out wherever I can.
