    Hi Horav

    Thanks for reaching out.

It would be best to find out what the details of the error are. If you have a bit of a technical background you can enable error logging, here is how https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-set-up-wordpress-error-logs-in-wp-config/.

    Hi Andrew,

I have set these 2 lines, but the ‘debug.log’ didn’t appear even after I have browse my site.

    define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, true );
    define( ‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true );

My site is working fine for now, except that the English pages would be gone every week or so.

But when it will hang when I try to access “Customise” in “Appearance” in WordPress, please help.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks. If the debug.log file isn’t appearing in your /wp-content/ folder and errors aren’t printing to the screen then it’s possible that an error isn’t currently being triggered.

I’m not sure what the issue is with english pages.

For the Customizer issue, try opening the browser console when the issue occurs, are errors present? Here is how https://wordpress.org/support/article/using-your-browser-to-diagnose-javascript-errors/#step-3-diagnosis. It could also be due to a PHP memory shortage.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Thanks.

You can check the path for the error by hovering over the file name to the right of the error in the console, the file path will be revealed.

Another way to proceed is to run a plugin conflict test. Temporarily deactivate all plugins not authored by SiteOrigin, in that state, does the Customizer load normally?

    Hi Andrew,

These are the 2 error paths:

Please advise how do I resolve, thanks.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks, the paths point to core WordPress files.

Please, try a plugin conflict test. Temporarily deactivate all plugins not authored by SiteOrigin. In this state, does the issue resolve? If the issue does resolve, reactivate your plugins one by one, checking for the issue after each reactivation.

    Hi Andrew,

I have tried deactivating all non-SiteOrigin plugin, but the “Customise” still doesnt load.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks. Please, try extending the test as follows:

    * Can you access the Customizer if you deactivate all non-SiteOrigin plugins? Please, also deactivate Max Mega Menu and Livemesh SiteOrigin Widgets. Same result?

    * If you still can’t access the Customizer, leave your plugins as they were above and extend the test by temporarily switching to a default theme like Twenty Nineteen. Can you access the Customizer?

    Hi Andrew,

I have tried deactivating all plugins except for SiteOrigins Pagebuilder, SiteOrigin CSS and SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle, and the customiser still doesn’t load.

I have tried activating other themes and the customiser works fine.

    Hi, I Work Here

Does the Customizer load with your normal theme and all plugins deactivated, even SiteOrigin plugins?

  12. 3 years, 9 months ago horav28

Yes, the customer works with the other theme with all plugins deactivated.

    Hi, I Work Here

By other theme do you mean the theme you normally use for the website?

  14. 3 years, 9 months ago horav28

No, the customiser couldnt load at all with the theme that I use for the website even with all plugins deactivated.

The customiser only work if I activated other themes.
