Woocommerce Shop page not working with Page Builder

By bella, 10 years ago. Last reply by Greg Priday, 10 years ago.

First, I really want to say how great you guys are. Page Builder and Vantage both work great. And your support is the best. We are making much faster progress than we would have hoped when we started. Thanks.

On Woocommerce and Page Builder, the Checkout, Cart and My Account Pages work perfectly, but the Shop page does not.

1. The Page Builder Big Headline/subhead does not work, but the text from the headline and subhead fields appears are regular text. No formatting and no background color.

2. The two column (66/33%) Blog template appears, with Recent Posts, Recent Comments, etc. in the right column, even though Full Width/No Title is selected. I have selected Default and then back to Full Width/No Title to see if that worked, but it didn’t change anything.

3. The Bread crumbs show.

4. There is no “edit this page” on the upper admin menu, while there is will all other pages.

5. The text field (either in text, or the text field in Page Builder) is blank. Woocommerce never populated.

Let me know what I am doing wrong. The rest of it was so easy, and it looks great. I would be happy to provide a link or access to our site. The site is accessible on the Internet during development (nobody knows it’s there).

Thanks.

    Hi, I Work Here

No problem, glad to hear you’re making progress.

Vantage has basic integration with WooCommerce. At this stage however I’m not aware of any extensive testing done between Vantage, WooCommerce AND Page Builder so a lot of these requests might be bug notifications or feature requests.

Please send me a link to this page and I’ll take a look.

    Hi, I Work Here

To clarify, please send me a link to the specific page within WooCommerce that you’re seeing the issues you listed.

    Hi, I Work Here

I consulted with Greg today and confirmed that as this stage there is no integration between Page Builder and WooCommerce. We’ve built a light foundation in Vantage to integrate with WooCommerce but this does not apply to Page Builder at this stage. Sorry i don’t have more.

Help. My entire business (this is an e-commerce start up) is build on WordPress for content and Woocommerce for e-commerce. I can’t have the rest of my site work properly — Dealer Locator, Gallery, Product Pages, Ticket System, etc. all looking correct and the main Store page looking really bad.

How would you recommend I go about making the Store page match every other page on my website?

    Hi, I Work Here

There really isn’t any short solution I can advise. WooCommerce handles it’s own layout, we just provide certain styles so that it integrates into Vantage. On the whole users deploy Page Builder on pages where needed and use the options within WooCommerce to style the buttons etc. for that part of their site.

If you look at your web site, it says — “Vantage. Integrated with some fine plugins. Page Builder. Meta Slider. Woocommerce.”

But what you are really saying is, “well, just some of the time”.

Can you give me more details on the task of editing the Woocommerce and WordPress files so that the /shop page matches the /cart, /checkout and /account pages. I need to understand the scope of that project, a rough cost budget, and how I can go about finding someone to do the work.

I don’t want to throw away all the work we have done in Vantage, but I can’t launch my company with what I have right now.

    Hi, I Work Here

Vantage as a WordPress theme has a block of styles ready for WooCommerce. As a result, Vantage can integrate with WooCommerce. We certainly push our Page Builder plugin to be used with our themes but Page Builder is not Vantage and Vantage is still a feature rich theme without it. What we don’t have and I’m not sure we ever will, is integration with Page Builder and Vantage. So Vantage does integrate with WooCommerce all of the time, Page Builder however does not.

You could potentially develop WooCommerce is the manner you require but it’s far beyond the theme support we offer for Vantage.

In the event that Vantage doesn’t suit your needs and if you’ve purchased our premium upgrade within the last 60 days we’d be more than happy to refund for your order for you.

    Hi, I Work Here

My recommendation for continuing would be to not use Page Builder elements on ecommerce pages, thereby aligning those pages. And then use the WooCommerce settings to style that section of the site as required.

Thanks. That is what we will do.

How do I disable Page Builder for a single Page?

  12. 10 years, 5 months ago bella

Thinking about this a little more, I have a question.

The /cart, /checkout and /account pages are perfect with Vantage. Wouldn’t it be better to turn off Page Builder for the /sales page and then custom develop the css for the /sales page to match the other Vantage e-commerce pages. That way everything would match — Vantage and the e-commerce section.

    Hi, I Work Here

Choosing the setup that requires the least amount of customisation would definitely be the way to go.

    Hello.
I have the same problem with my Origami theme. The woo commerce shop does not integrate with origami. Everything else is fine. However, woo commerce offers a solution to the problem.

What do the support team think of this?

If anyone tried this, please let me know. I don´t know how these things work and will ask a friend to solve this for me.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Andreas

As this stage Origami is unfortunately not WooCommerce compatible.

  16. 10 years, 5 months ago [email protected]

-Yeah, I just realized that. ;)
But according to woo commerce there is a way around it. Did you take a look at the link I posted?

    What do you think?

    Hi again!
That would be great. If this works a lot of people would benefit from it.

    Thanks!
