Hi,
I installed wordpress plugin and when I created the default pages like Checkout, My Account, Cart etc. it gives this error when I click the page to edit it:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method SiteOrigin_Widgets_Bundle::register_general_scripts() in /home/pestco93/public_html/wp-content/plugins/siteorigin-panels/compat/layout-block.php on line 78
Any idea how to solve this? Currently my page is unusable because of this error.
Thanks,
Carlo
Hi Carlo
Thanks for reporting. Does the issue persist if you temporarily deactivate all plugins except for Page Builder, Widgets Bundle and WooCommerce?
Hi Andrew,
I just checked this and it still shows the same error.
Any other things I can try?
Thanks
Carlo
Thanks for trying.
Which version of WordPress are you using?
Does the issue persist if you temporarily deactivate all plugins except the Widgets Bundle and WooCommerce and switch to a default theme like Twenty Seventeen?
Hi Andrew,
I am using wordpress version 5.0.2.
The issue goes away when I deactivate all plugins except Widgets Bundle and WooCommerece. I did not have to switch to a default theme for that. By the way, I am using custom theme ‘Create’ and the Widgets Bundle Plugin is called ‘SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle for Create’.
Would the problem be some compatability issue with Page Builder?
Thanks
Carlo
Thanks for the update.
SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle for Create is a fork of our plugin, we, unfortunately, can’t offer any support on forks as we no longer have control over the source code. It’s best to either switch to the core plugin or contact the fork developers for assistance.
One moment, update to follow…
Hi Carlo,
To add onto what Andrew said, Create has removed the need for using the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle for Create plugin in their newer updates. This means that as long as you’re using a newer version of Create (anything past version 1.1.4), you don’t need to use their fork (a version based on our code but neither developed or maintained) of SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle.
If the version of Create you’re using is newer than 1.1.4, you can remove the fork and isntall the main version of SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle to resolve this issue. Before Proceeding, do a backup. Once you’ve done that, please navigate to WP AdminPluginsInstalled Plugins and find and deactivate SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle for Create, then delete it. Click Add New and search for and install SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle.
