Woocommerce Block Display & Vantage Premium

Hello,

I am creating a woocommerce shop page using the woocommerce block: display by category. I set the columns to 4. It displays fine with 4 products per row in the editor, but only displays 3 products per row on the actual page.

The website page is https://kitsonwines.com/shop. As you can see, there is blank space on the right side of the block. It’s as if the woocommerce block has allocated space on the right for a sidebar.

    Hi Brad

    Thanks for reaching out.

    Please, try adding the following to AppearanceCustom CSS if you’re using SiteOrigin CSS or CustomizeAdditional CSS:

    .wc-block-grid__product {
    	margin: 0 !important;
    }

    Let us know how you get on.

    Hi Brad

    Thanks for your feedback, I’m glad to hear the fix helped. It’ll be included in the next update of Vantage, the version hosted on WordPress.org. Please, find an update below:

    In early August 2016 we stopped selling Vantage Premium and introduced SiteOrigin Premium, a single plugin that adds additional functionality to Page Builder by SiteOrigin, the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle and all of our themes. In August of 2018 we discontinued email support and updates for Vantage Premium.

    Almost all of the additional settings previously found in Vantage Premium are now part of the free Vantage theme hosted on the WordPress.org theme directory. This version is being regularly updated. Footer Attribution and Ajax Comments, two options previously part of Vantage Premium are now addons in SiteOrigin Premium.

    If you’d like to make use of the Footer Attribution and Ajax Comments addons in SiteOrigin Premium as well as email support and a host of additional functionality, please find a 30% discount code below:

    I tried to follow your advice and give the free Vantage theme a try. When I try to upload through the dashboard it says it’s already installed because I have Vantage Premium installed. I’m not sure about deleting my current Vantage Premium theme to evaluate switching to the free theme.

    In Vantage Premium, the shop page automatically displays all of my products without requiring the [products] shortcode. So, when I try to add a [products] shortcode with arguments or a woocommerce block, I get duplicate product displays.

    My temporary workaround is to create a different page as my shop page. This is problematic because there are hardwired links on other woocommerce pages to the default shop page. These links now go to the wrong page.

    How can I have a shop page with functional links

    Also, Vantage Premium doesn’t allow removing the sidebar in woocommerce pages as it does on other pages. My workaround was the following CSS:
    .woocommerce .widget-area {
    display: none;
    }
    .woocommerce .content-area {
    width: 100% !important;
    }

    Hi Brad

    Thanks for reaching out.

    As long as you haven’t directly edited theme files at a code level you can proceed with overwriting Vantage when prompted.

    The shop page setup and behavior isn’t specific to Vantage. The shop page is selected at WooCommerceSettingsProducts. At CustomizeWooCommerceProduct Catalog: Shop page display you can alter the setup. Removing all products would be a bit of a custom development job. You could perhaps Google to see if anyone is talking about an easy solution for that. It’s something we could lend a with within our premium support scope where the budget allows it.

    The WooCommerce shop and archive pages fall under CustomizePage Template Settings as they are archive pages. The page settings don’t display on the Shop page in the current version of Vantage.
