With your Page Builder plugin enabled, the homepage is not accessible

Since 12 hours the front page of my project is not accessible. My web host found that your plugin is causing the problem. When it is deactivated, the page becomes quickly accessible again. Unfortunately, every page was built with Site Origin, so without the plugin, the layout falls apart. I will now try to get the front page to work without the Page Builder, but I can’t do this for all pages. Is this a known issue? Are there any solutions in the works? What can I do to make it run smoothly again?

Update: I’m now redirecting the front page to a duplicate so that it’s accessible again. It’s an interim solution. I hope there’s a better option; otherwise, I’ll have to use a different page builder.

    Hi, I Work Here

Hi, thanks for getting in touch.

We don’t currently have any open issues of the nature described. You can begin the troubleshooting process by temporarily deactivating all plugins except for Page Builder and the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle. With only the two plugins activated, check to see is the issue persists. The result will help inform the next steps.

I work with the ‘NewsTube’ theme by CactusThemes. There is a conflict with the theme plugin ‘Widget Options.’ When either it or Site Origin is deactivated, the homepage is accessible. Having both active causes the homepage to crash.

    Hi, I Work Here

You can try confirming the conflict as follows. Temporarily deactivate all plugins except for Widgets Options and Page Builder. With all other plugins deactivated, re-try the issue. If the issue persists and if you’re a semi-technical user you can enable WP_DEBUG in your WordPress wp-config.php file to find out what error is generated in your WordPress debug.log file. We cover the process here Page: Debugging in WordPress.
