Width of image in pixels for full width page.

Hello,

I am creating a series of images that I would like to display at full width on the website. Since I am creating them with a variety of features, I need to know how wide they should be in advance so as not to have anything cropped and to maintain general symmetry. They will be stand alone images, not in a slider. However, will the meta slider display full width as well or is it constrained to 1080 x 420, just in case I wish to use it. I am also using Page Builder.

Thank you,
Bruce Drukker

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Bruce

In most cases the maximum width of the image should be 1920px wide for current screens. Mets-Slider can do full width providing it is put into a full-width stretched row in PageBuilder. You can then set the sliders width to be 100% and it should fill the screen.

    Hope this helps

    Hi, I Work Here

Hey Bruce, just to follow on from Magus here. Vantage offers Meta Slider full width in two ways.

    1. Appearance > Theme Settings > Home > Stretch Home Slider.
There is also a stretch page slider option in the right column of each page, assuming you’re using the page Meta Slider drop down to add a slider in the same position as the home page.

The stretch option will stretch your slider to full width without changing the height. If there is a big difference between the image width and the display width, this will result in some zooming.

    2. Option two is to turn the theme settings stretch OFF and instead access the Advanced tab in Meta Slider. There you can also set 100% width. This won’t constrain the height.

The advice from Magus handles the image size question, hopefully the above explains how you can set full width with your page Meta Sliders.

If you need to add text on your sider, Meta Slider Pro offers layering. If you’d like to stick with Free then you can use an image for the text layer, something Vantage adds. Greg covers this layering method here:
