Hi Guys,

I’m at a complete loss. For some reason Widgets have stop working properly in Page Builder, Work fine in the usual widget locations but will not play ball in Page Builder. I’m using WordPress 4.3.1, Vantage Premium 2.4.4, Page Builder 2.2, Widgets 1.5.1. Done the usual deactivating of the all other plugins and still nothing !!

Wont let me open any tabbed or carousel boxes.

HELP!!

John

    This could be some sort of plugin conflict. You can try disabling your plugins one by one and see if disabling any plugin fixes the issue.

    Ok, So I’ve done a completely clean install

    WordPress 4.3.1
    Vantage Premium 2.4.4
    Page Builder 2.2
    Site Origin Widgets 1.5.1

    Added nothing else ! … Widgets are broke

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi John

    Is this still the problem you’re facing or is just widget spacing you’re working on now?

  4. 9 years, 9 months ago John Richardson

    Hi Andrew

    No it’s still very much a problem !

    Widget Spacing is another thing I’m working on whilst waiting on the reply from you guys on the above

    FYI Love Page Builder & Vantage

    Hi, I Work Here

    Can you perhaps give a specific example. Which widget did you try insert into Page Builder and what happened?

    Thanks

  6. 9 years, 9 months ago John Richardson

    Its the same with all widgets but an exact example would be the button widget

    added via page builder and the icon tab is open but unable to shut it or open either of the other tabs … same thing happens on other widgets. when adding via widget screen they work fine.

    Happy for you to have look at the site if it helps

    John

    Hi, I Work Here

    This does sound like a plugin conflict, specifically a JavaScript issue.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    [email protected]

    Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.

    Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

    Hi, I Work Here

    I did see an issue but after running plugin tests it seems to have resolved:

    Please, try testing again.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Let’s get this core issue resolved before we dive into the new problem. Thanks :)

    I’ve just tried something that I didn’t think in a million years would be the issue but I think It’s down to a browser issue

    Chrome on Windows 10

    Just opened up Edge and it seems to be working fine, never thought to check the browser !!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Chrome is usually our “go to” browser. Can you try clearing Chrome’s cache and see if it helps.

    (Hate advising people to clear cache but there are some cases where it helps things).

    Cleared and still the same

    Strange one that’s for sure, guess I’ll be using Edge for a while !

    Hi, I Work Here

    Strange for sure! One more test to run would be to go to chrome://extenstions and disable everything, then re-check.

  21. 9 years, 9 months ago John Richardson

    Voila !!! Page Builder is incompatible with the extension PageXray !!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Nice find :)

    Which widgets are you trying to change the spacing between? Which page can I see them on? Thanks.

      If you look on the home page there’s a row in 3rd’s I’d like to be able to stack the image and the 2 text boxes. Its something I’d like to be able to replicate else where to.

      Cheers

    Hi, I Work Here

    I’ve edited the row concerned, clicked Attributes on the right and entered a CSS Row Class of my choosing:

    no-bottom-margin

    I then went to Appearance > Custom CSS and targeted our new class:

    /* Custom Page Builder */

    .no-bottom-margin .panel-grid-cell .so-panel {
    	margin-bottom: 0 !important;
    }

    Hopefully that’s the result you wanted. Not that easy to do this without Custom CSS at the moment. What I’ve done here is replicable by adding the row class to other rows.

    That’s spot on !!

    Cheers for all the help tonight !
