Widget to Add Excerpt to Post Type?

I have looked through the SiteOrigin for a widget that would allow me to add an Excerpt to my post. Is there one that I am overlooking? If not, do you have suggesting for adding an Excerpt field to my new post type?

    Hi Ted,

    We don’t include any widgets that specifically handle excerpts. Technically, if your theme supports excerpts you might be able to use the Post Loop widget if you set a custom excerpt for the post. If your theme doesn’t include templates that support excerpts, you’ll need to use a widget such as the Inked Blog widget (included with the Widgets for SiteOrigin plugin) – once installed please navigate to WP AdminPluginsSiteOrigin Widgets to activate it.
