Widget title is displayed in except text

We are using page builder for our custom post type products and displaying the archive page in a masonry style, provided by our theme. Since the last update, the widget-title is shown in the excerpt copy at the beginning of the excerpt. This is a little irritating, as you can imagine. How can I manage to exclude the widget-title from the excerpt?

    Hi Sandie,

    Thanks for letting us know about this. I’ve logged this as a potential bug in our issue tracker. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to control what’s picked up by WordPress for the excerpts at this time. Sorry mate. :(

    As a workaround, I would recommend creating a custom excerpt for the affected posts.
