Widget title in header is not translated by WPML

Hi SiteOrigin

Not sure if this is a SiteOrigin Vantage problem or a WPML problem.

I have in my header on www.omahara.com a Vantage Social Media widget. Title of the widget is “Contact Omahara”. Site default language is english (WordPress settings). I used WPML String Translation to find the “Contact Omahara” widget title and enter “Kontakt Omahara” as the Danish translation. So far so good. But the Danish translations is not shown?!

Right next to the Vantage Social Media widget I have a Language Switcher widget (I believe it’s from WPML). This also have a widget title, although it is set through a dedicated “Edit Widget Area Language Switcher” settings dialog on the WPML settings pages. Anywho, this widget title has been translated and works.

To the other side there is a Layout Builder, that I used to layout a SiteOrigin Headline on top of a SiteOrigin Button. This has also been entered into String Translation, but is not translated on the page.

So, two Site-Origin widget titles is not translated, but the WPML widget title is translated.

Could you look into this, maybe? Is it me that is doing anything bad?

Actually, I’d like to create a whole header translation. Two seperate headers with site logo, language switcher, social media and newsletter stuff. Can I do that and how?

Thanks for your awesome support!

Best regards,
SvendK

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Svendkm

Unfortunately, the layout builder (and Page Builder in general) isn’t compatible with the WPML String Translation. You’ll need to create a dedicated Layout Builder for the other languages instead of replacing the text. Sorry mate. :(
