Widget Styles

I am very new to this, so tech talk will not help. I just purchased the upgrade to vantage and so far like it. I am using visual editor to attempt to put a full background on a page. I upload the the image from Widget Styles but nothing happens, I have tried simple color change for the background and get nothing. Can someone please help me. Thank you

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Brian

    Thanks for reaching out.

Global background image options can be found at Appearance > Customize > Page > Page Background Image. You can also set header and footer background images from:

    Page > Masthead Background
    Footer > Footer Background Image

Vantage doesn’t have the option to set these page by page.

It’s possible to set a row background image in Page Builder as follows:

Click the wrench icon on the far right of any row, Edit the row, click the Theme tab on the far right, add your background image url to the field there.

You can get your background image url by going to your Media library in WordPress, clicking on the image and copying the url from the right side column.

The above options are currently what’s possible in Vantage/Page Builder.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi, I Work Here

No doubt. Our options aren’t as cleanly laid out as we’d like, this is a result of the organic nature in which the theme was developed.

Our documentation is up here: Page: Vantage Documentation
And Page Builder docs here: Page: Getting Started With Page Builder

    Hope that helps.

    Vantage Theme, TinyMCE Widget
i followed andrew’s instructions, works. is there a way to make this background image stretch like we can make the header image stretch so the image takes up the entire browser left to right margins?

is there a way to make a row look EXACTLY like your Footer Widget, as your footer widget has ability to color the background from left to right margins?

is there a way to make our front page look EXACTLY like siteorigin.com front page? because this is exactly what i’ve envisioned for the last year. 4 horizontal blocks (rows), left to right margins controlling the color and background image. i’d be happy just to control the stretch width background color and then be able to place a static width image in this block/row, (just like your footer widget does) but #1 goal is to duplicate siteorigin.com front page!!!! really nice! i guess siteorgin uses background images because i can’t drag them off to my desktop.

i don’t want to remove your name text from my site in your footer widget but i’d like to change the text color because when i change footer background color to lighter color your company name cannot be seen.
