Widget Post Carousel

Hi,

I’m Trying to change the backgorund colour in the Post Carousel widget using this css:

.sow-carousel-wrapper ul.sow-carousel-items li.sow-carousel-item .sow-carousel-thumbnail a span.overlay {
background: #ededed;
}

…and it works fine in Pages and Post but not in portfolio (My portfolio is a Custom Post Type using CPT UI Plugin).

Do you know what may be happening?

Thanks!
Dani

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Dani,

    We’re not too sure why it’s not working on your portfolio. Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

    Hi Alex,

    Yes, of course:

    Don’t work here: http://bit.ly/2F0P0LD (this is a portfolio item)

    Work fine here: http://bit.ly/2n0jkyJ and all the pages/posts.

    The post carousel is below the content.

    thank you very much!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Dani,

    Thanks. I’ve just had a look at your website and the carousels are working correctly on both pages for me. For reference, here’s what I see on the portfolio page:

    Did you manage to fix this issue? If not, are you able to replicate this issue in another browser or on another computer?

    Hi Alex,

    The carousel work fine on both pages, correct, but this isn’t the problem that I have displayed in this thread.

    The problem is the background: I have changed the background color (to #ededed) when you pass the mouse pointer, but not work in the portfolio pages.

    This is the problem, the background.

    Can you have a look?

    Thanks!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Dani47,

    Ah. Does this issue remain if you clear Autoptimize’s cache? If so, what happens if you temporarily disable it? If it doesn’t, can you please leave it disabled so I can inspect your markup> I ask because this will allow me to check if the specific area where you add this CSS is present on the other page. Also, be sure to clear your page cache.

    Hi Alex,

    If I clear Autoptimize’s cache the problem remains.

    Now I disable the Autoptimize’s cache so you can inspect.

    tell me if you need something more

    Thanks!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Dani47,

    Very sorry for the delay.

    Can you please disable Autoptimize again? If you would rather not, would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? This will allow us to bypass your minify and page cache.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Dani,

    Thanks. Please replace:

    .sow-carousel-wrapper ul.sow-carousel-items li.sow-carousel-item .sow-carousel-thumbnail a span.overlay {
      background: #ededed;
    }

    With:

    .so-widget-sow-post-carousel .sow-carousel-wrapper ul.sow-carousel-items li.sow-carousel-item .sow-carousel-thumbnail a span.overlay {
    	background: #ededed;
    }

    How does that look? Be sure to clear your page cache and autoptimize cache.

    You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.
