Hello, so I love the page builder plugin. It’s awesome. But as several before, I have big problems migrating a site that’s using the plugin. I’ve tried every troubleshooting solution that’s been posted in the past 2 years with slight success. Using the ‘duplicator’ plugin has not worked at all for me. The only solution that gets the pagebuilder data to ‘stick’ to the pages it’s used on is using the basic WordPress Export/Import. This works for page data, but it doesn’t cover widgets. I had added some of the sitepoint Editor widgets to my footer using the Widgets area of WordPress and this data does not get transferred using the Export/Import.
Again, I really love this plugin….posts from 2 years ago stated you guys were working on making the migration process better but it seems to still have a lot of bugs.
Hi Phillip,
Let me preface my response with: I was not around 2 years ago. I’ve been working here for roughly a month and a half. As such, I cannot comment on anything prior to my arrival.
It’s odd that you’re having such major issues with Duplicator. Are you using any special settings or just the defaults?
A possible workaround would be to use the layout builder widget included in SiteOrigin Page Builder. Instead of directly adding the widgets to your footer add them to the layout builder. This will give you much greater control over the widget and will allow you to easily export them via the prebuilt option (there’s an option to import and export layouts)
