Why can’t I add an image from my media page?

11 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 11 years ago

When I use Page Builder to add an Image widget, the only options are URL, which is very confusing.

Why don’t I get the option to directly choose an image from my uploaded media?

Do I really have to save and move away to the media menu and manually copy the URL from there each time?

    Hi eobet

The original Image (PB) widget is pretty old now. Yes, it does require a url from the Media Library. The url for an image can be found by clicking on an image and copying the url from the right column metabox.

    Better options:

    1. Visual Editor widget which has it’s own Add Media button: http://wordpress.org/plugins/black-studio-tinymce-widget/.

    2. The Image Widget contained in our Widget Bundle plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/

    Hope that helps.
