Hi guys,
Yesterday, our site lost the layout after update page builder to the latest version (sorry, the guy who did it couldn’t recall what is the previous version number).
everything in should be in a row has been pushed to align left in a column.
our WP version is 4.7.5.
Please advise.
Cheers
Hi
Thanks for reaching out.
It isn’t necessarily related but we recommend at least upgrading the WordPress core to
4.9.13
, the last4.9
release. To begin troubleshooting the problem, try temporarily deactivating all plugins except Page Builder. In that state, does the issue persist?
Hi Andrew,
I tried with deactivating all plugins except Page Builder as well as update WP to the latest version.
The issue still persist.
Thanks for the update. Please, try completing the conflict test by:
1. Temporarily switching to a default theme like Twenty Nineteen.
2. Temporarily deactivating all non-SiteOrigin plugins.
Does the issue persist in this state?
Hi Andrew,
After change to Twenty Nineteen and deactivating all non-Siteorigin plugins. Of course the whole page looks quite strange and mess, but two items in one row on homepage seems not align to left.
Thanks, so when you reactivate your theme, the issue you’re trying to resolve reappears? If so, which theme are you using?
Yes, when I reactive the theme. The issue persist.
The theme we are using is called Eduma – an education theme
Thanks, can you perhaps upload a copy of the theme ZIP file to WeTransfer.com or your Dropbox/Drive and send us the link. We’ll remove the link as soon as we’ve received the file.
Hi Andrew,
Thanks for your reply.
You can find download the theme zip from following link. Let me know if you have difficulty to download the file.

Thanks.
There isn’t anything that immediately jumps out at me. If you could perhaps take screenshots of the issue and upload to the cloud sharing location of your choice and send us the link, that’ll be helpful.
Hi Andrew,
And same one drive link https://1drv.ms/u/s!AoIGV2O8YqKlgR5uSVy49JvMWERB?e=xOVkLi
I have uploaded two pics. I just make a simple page for you to understand what’s the issue.
c1 is backend editor. I just put one row in the page with 2 text box in with test1 in left box and test2 in right box.
c2 is the preview of the page you can see test1 and test2 align vertically instead of horizontally
Thanks, I can confirm the issue. I’ll take a look but please, open a support issue with the theme authors. It’s a premium theme so premium support is part of the offering. Eduma does a lot of integration work with Page Builder, this is something they’ll want to resolve, the issue is most likely within the theme so will need to be resolved by the authors.
The theme is deregistering the Page Builder font flex stylesheet.
Please, reach out to the authors, I’m sure they’ll be able to assist.
Hi Andrew,
Thanks for your help.
I will try to reach the author of the theme.
The only thing I couldn’t understand that if the theme deregistered Page Builder. Why everything works fine until the page build plug in has been update to the latest version?
Hi, for sure, no problem.
The theme isn’t deregistering Page Builder, rather it’s deregistering the front-flex stylesheet, one component of Page Builder. I’d rather not speculate too much as to what the theme was doing in place of that stylesheet. The authors have made this customization so ideally, they need to support and maintain it. My guess is they are applying their own core Page Builder layout styling. Perhaps an aspect of Page Builder has changed since the last update of the plugin in your WordPress installation, I’m not sure. Hopefully, they can lend a quickly and resolve the problem.
Hi Andrew,
Thanks again for your information. I am still waiting for the theme author get back to me.
What I found out so far is that CSS item panel-first-child and panel-last-child seems lose their definition. Could you please quick confirm with me both items are defined by Page Builder or not.
Hi
Those are part of Page Builder, yes. Even if I go to SettingsLayout and set the Legacy Layout engine to always run (not just for old browsers), the issue persists.
If you want to try rolling Page Builder back, https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-rollback/ is an easy way to do that.
The authors put effort into offering Page Builder integration with their theme, hopefully, they can lend a hand. Removing the Page Builder layout stylesheet is unusual but I guess they replaced those styles with styles of their own and perhaps those aren’t applicable anymore.
