I realize that I am using the Logo in an unconventional way, but I would like to eliminate the white space at either end of the header image (Logo). And, I don’t see a better way of doing what I am trying to do.
I have unsuccessfully tried to determine the code which is creating it.
I did notice that going from the Browser Window size I am using to Max size increased the white space and not the header image size. In fact, the better option may be to change the color of the white space to the background color of the header image if I could get code to do that.
The following link is a staging site which will go public at http://www.ambersoasissalon.com/.
I have found a satisfactory way around my problem. I created small box (20 x 230) with the background color and used it as the “Masthead Background Image” in Customizing > Theme Design> Page. To take this to the next level, I might create a background with the palm limbs to replicate the entire width and then recreate the rest of the image with a transparent background (no green or palm limbs).
Hi Don1
Thanks for reaching out.
Splitting your logo up into a background and foreground image is the ideal solution and what we would have recommended. Glad to see you’re making progress. If anything else comes up, let us know.
