White space at the top of my post

10 years ago · Last reply by Greg Priday 10 years ago

Any of the posts i upload seem to have a large white space at the top of the page. Is there any way i can remove this.

Example

http://www.derrycraftvillage.com/the-craft-village-christmas-events-programme/

I would also like to remove the archive info from the side of the post if that is possible. Just temporarily until i build up more posts. Thanks in advance

    Hi Blane

Sorry for the late reply here. In future, if you have a premium order number, please be sure to use that when posting your thread. This will prioritize your thread and we’ll be able to answer sooner.

There is some custom CSS that’s setting the #page-title element to white. So that white space you’re seeing is just the page title. But you can’t read the text because it’s the same color as the background. Just remove this custom CSS and you’ll be able to see the text. You can use display:none to fully hide the text, although this might not be a good idea from an SEO perspective.

To manage what’s displayed in your sidebar, you can navigate to Appearance > Widgets and add the widgets you want to your sidebar. Just leave out the widget that’s displaying the archive.
