White page when viewing some of the Appearance menu links in the WP dashboard

Hi

When I try to edit my site, I get a white page. Specifically when clicking on the following in the Appearance menu in the WP dashboard:
1. Customize: http://www.canda-international.com/wp-admin/customize.php?return=%2Fwp-admin%2Fnav-menus.php
2. Widgets: http://www.canda-international.com/wp-admin/widgets.php
3. Background: http://www.canda-international.com/wp-admin/customize.php?return=%2Fwp-admin%2Fnav-menus.php&autofocus%5Bcontrol%5D=background_image

Themes, Home Page, Custom CSS, Theme Settings are all OK in the Appearance menu.

Could you suggest how I could resolve this?

BR

Nick

    Hi Nick Dunlop-Jones

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

    Thanks

Thanks for the reply Magus. It is as you say, a conflict with two of the plug-ins. One is Jetpack and the other is Add-Meta-Tags. I have disabled both and all seems to be OK so far.

The question I have now is whether there are alternatives which I could use and which are compatible with the Vantage theme.

I use Jetpack to allow me to automatically post my blog articles on all the social media platforms: LinkedIn, G+, Facebook, twitter (two accounts). And I use the Meta tags for doing what meta tags do. If you had any thoughts on this, I would be grateful.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Hi Nick

Please try this plugin for posting

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/social-networks-auto-poster-facebook-twitter-g/

The meta plugin will depend on if you want opengraph tags. Give this one a try

    Hi Magus

Thank you for your suggestions. I have tried both plug-ins. The meta plug-in seems to work OK but the NextScripts social network auto poster gives a white page (conflict).

Do you know of any others I could try for auto-posting my blog on the various social media?

    Hi Nick

You shouldn’t really have been seeing any issues with SNAP. The only other viable alternative which works with all the social networks would be to use a service like IFTTT

You sign up and configure the apps you want and it takes care of the rest.
