Where is the sidebar?

First, this is the first time I have used WordPress. The Vantage Theme really helped to learn how to design a site quickly. My only issue, when I try to add something to the side bar it does not show up. What do the settings need to be to enable the sidebar.

    new issue just discovered. the side bar items are showing up on every page except my home page. I would like them to show up on the home page.

    Hi Vincent

    Thanks for running Vantage.

    The sidebar will appear once widgets have been added at Appearance > Widgets > Sidebar. The locations you can expect to the see the sidebar are:

    Blog/archive pages
    Single post pages

    And any pages that use the Default page template. You can find the page template drop down menu in the right column when editing a page.

    To add a sidebar to your home page head to Pages > Home and change the template to default.
