Hi Sarmad,
This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue or you using the revert to editor button.
Are you using the revert to editor button at all? This button is not meant to be used unless you plan on no longer using Page Builder on this page as it will lead to losing your Page Builder Data (by design).
If this isn’t the case, can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
Please don’t ignore this report – the exact same thing is happening to me since the last update. I have not installed new plugins, and I was only fooled by the revert to editor button once.
If I make a new page with the latest PageBuilder, no problem. But if I try to open a page built with a previous version, I get dumped into the Text version, and can never get into PB again. So every edit requires rebuilding that page from scratch. This is not funny..
Hi George
Have you tried running the plugin conflict test we outlined? It’s always the absolute first thing to test. Even if you haven’t added new plugins recently, an update to another plugin might have caused it to start conflicting with Page Builder.
Another possibility is that after updating WordPress, a plugin that isn’t compatible with the latest WordPress, starts triggering a Javascript error, which in turn breaks Page Builder.
There are a lot of possibilities, which is why the first step is always to run the plugin conflict test.
If you’re using PageBuilder on your own site, it’d take you 2mn to check this out for yourself..
Hi George,
I understand your frustration but it needs to be known that we’re unable to replicate this and what you’re experiencing is NOT a widespread issue (only you and sarmad-95 have reported this). Please try the plugin conflict test as that should allow us to work out what is causing you issues.
This thing also happened to my website. I tried restoring the revisions but the same thing like sarmad-95 happened to me. All the past Widget doesn’t occur just like before instead it keeps on returning to text. I already tried deactivating all non-siteorgin plugins, but nothing works. I’m currently using North Themes. I will try clearing the cache later.
Hi Ren,
As your issue to the other users (yours relates to revisions, theirs relates to saving in general), can you please start a new thread with your issue? We can only offer you the best support possible when you’re the owner of a thread.

hello my issue was caused because of woocommerce wpml plugin after deactivating it my site returned to normal why this occur with this plugin? whats solution ?
Hi Sarmad-95,
Hm, not too sure why that would conflict. Try navigating to WP AdminSettingsPage Builder and opening the General tab, untick Sidebar Emulator (or if it’s unticked already, tick it). If that doesn’t help, I would recommend contacting WordPress WPML to see if they have any ideas. We’ll log it on our end too.
Ok guys, still no help from SO but I have a workaround.. The problem happens on my PC, latest firefox and chrome. BUT it doesn’t happen on my cheapo kindle, HD8,5thgen, using Silk. If I open a page on the kindle and just update it, I can then edit it as usual on the PC. Rather a pain if you have a lot of pages, but at least you can function.
And you might want to keep posting what you find here, there’s no reason to let ourselves get isolated in different threads.
Hi George,
To clarify, we’re more than willing to help you – if you’ve found a bug, we want to fix it. You need to understand that you’re the only other user in this thread who still has a direct issue with our plugin. sarmad-95’s issue was related to WooCommerce wpml and black-frost’s issue isn’t related to this thread. I’m pointing this out to state that this issue you’re experiencing is not a widespread issue – in fact, the only other person with a similar issue has found that it’s a plugin conflict. If this issue was a widespread issue, Greg, I or anyone else for that matter would have run into it and it would have already been fixed.
Now, to clarify, have you run the plugin conflict test? I’m sure you’ve seen us suggest this test a million times, but we do so because it’s the solution more often than not (almost to the point where we should ask you to do one before posting). Yes, you haven’t added any plugins since the update but that doesn’t mean there can’t be a plugin conflict. Updates, theme changes, etc, ALL can introduce conflicts. Heck, even certain settings can conflict. Please, if you haven’t tried the plugin conflict test, please do so.
Based on your workaround, it sounds like this issue is related to your browser (which can be due to browser extensions or software causing you issues). Can you please try editing the website in a different browser? And if that didn’t work, can you try editing it on another computer?
ps: i’m not using woocommerce
Hi George,
Okay. Have you read my above post? Could you please follow the instructions outlined / reply?
