Weird Template Behavior

By cmcgrue, 5 years ago. Last reply by Alex S, 5 years ago.

Hello.

I’m using the Vantage Theme, and until a couple of days ago, everything was fine.

In an attempt to remedy this, I did a back out to a week ago, hoping that if there were any configuration changes I made, they would be put back the way they were. That didn’t fix the issue.

I contacted my hosting provider, and they were saying it was a development issue. Doing the roll back tells me it wasn’t a development issue.

So I’m checking to see if there is something that you folks did in an update that might have accidentally caused an issue. At this point, I’m trying to rule out all possible options.

Thanks in advance. Also, I paid for Premium, but you guys have stated in my last inquiry that you’ll respond quicker if I purchased Premium. Do you have more than one Premium option???

Rgds..

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Cmcgrue

    Thanks for reaching out. Can you please elaborate on the issue you’re facing? Is it the header widget area overlapping the overlay? If so, unfortunately, A recent Chrome update caused that.

    The problem was resolved in Vantage version 1.7.12. To check which version of Vantage you’re using, go to AppearanceThemes, hover over the Vantage screenshot and click Theme Details. If you’re using version 1.x.xx and have a version less than 1.7.12, go to DashboardUpdates to update. If you’re using version 2.x.xx, unfortunately, there isn’t an update available. Below you’ll find two options to resolve the problem:

    1. Switch to Vantage 1.x.xx hosted on WordPress.org.
    Go to Appearance > Themes and temporarily switch to any other theme. Delete Vantage by hovering over the Vantage screenshot, clicking Theme Details and then Delete. Finally, go to Appearance > Themes > Add New, search for and install Vantage.

    2. Add a Custom CSS rule.
    Go to AppearanceCustom CSS and add the following rule:

    #masthead .hgroup #header-sidebar {
    	display: flex;
    	align-items: center;
    }

    Why is the premium version of Vantage (2.x.xx) no longer being updated?

    In early August 2016 we stopped selling Vantage Premium and introduced SiteOrigin Premium, a single plugin that adds additional functionality to Page Builder by SiteOrigin, the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle and all of our themes. In August of 2018 we discontinued email support and updates for Vantage Premium.

    Almost all of the additional settings previously found in Vantage Premium are now part of the free Vantage theme hosted on the WordPress.org theme directory. This version is being regularly updated. Footer Attribution and Ajax Comments, two options previously part of Vantage Premium are now addons in SiteOrigin Premium.

    If you’d like to make use of the Footer Attribution and Ajax Comments addons in SiteOrigin Premium as well as a host of additional functionality, please find a 30% discount code below:

    Private Snippet (or if it’s still valid, the Black Friday discount mentioned at the top SiteOrigin.com)
