After clicking update on the page editor, page builder tab disappears and editor looks like a text editor. And console shows 5 or 3 errors.
But when you refresh the whole page after that, everything seems to be normal.
It seems that the message “The XSS Auditor refused to execute a script in ‘http://sitename/wp-admin/post.php?post=2&action=edit&message=1’ because its source code was found within the request. The auditor was enabled as the server sent neither an ‘X-XSS-Protection’ nor ‘Content-Security-Policy’ header.” relates only for webkit browsers. Because in Firefox everything works fine.
Hi Artem,
Oh that’s odd. I’ve never seen that happen before and my main browser is Chrome. To clarify, does this only happen to a single page or is it all of them for you? Would it be possible for you to send me an export for this widget? To do this open up the page with the widget and click layout. Then click import / export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io
I have used only custom widgets from widget bundle ( https://tknk.io/kql4 ). I guess that this issue occurs only after importing data. When I’m working on localhost everything is ok but when I move a website to a hosting (no matter how, using import plugins or just changing database and config files) pages which were built with pagebuilder stop working. And to fix it you need to reinstall or update pagebuilder. Probably this issues belongs to WordPress because I have found similar problems with other plugins http://forums.tumult.com/t/b-r-o-o-m-bomb-removal-ordnance-obliterating-machine/2854
Hi Artem,
Hm. I’m unable to import that layout for some reason. Typically that only happens if the layout contains data that is invalid (syntax wise). Could you do me a favour and screenshot your editing screen?
I personally do not use this setting so I cannot comment on it being a general WordPress issue but as SiteOrigin Page Builder is a very complicated plugin it’s quite possible it is mistakenly triggering certain things. Regardless, I’ll look into to see if we can find anything.
Ok, I found what is causing this mistake. The error “The XSS Auditor refused to execute a script in” occurs when there is an inline script in the editor. In my case, I insert standard WordPress gallery in SiteOrigin Editor but using plugin photoswipe-masonry. And this plugin adds inline script right in the editor. Sorry for bothering you and thank you for help. Your pagebuilder is the best one on the market.
Hi Artem,
I’m glad you worked it out! :) Don’t worry about it – it’s something I should really be more familiar with anyway so it’s a good eye-opener. Thank you for the kind words by the way!
