Visual Editor not compatible with Yoast Seo content recognition

Hello,

I have followed some of the older threads here regarding Yoast SEO not being fully compatible with Page Builder.
(I have installed the recommended Black Studio TinyMCE Widget along with the official SiteOrigin PageBuilder and am using the Visual Editor to input my content).

Yoast SEO recognizes everything except the actual copy/content, such as text, subheaders, links, and images that I know are there.

Example via YoastSEO plugin:
BAD (but not actually true)-
-The text contains 0 words. This is far too low and should be increased.
-No images appear in this page, consider adding some as appropriate.
-The focus keyword doesn’t appear in the first paragraph of the copy. Make sure the topic is clear immediately.
-No outbound links appear in this page, consider adding some as appropriate.
-No subheading tags (like an H2) appear in the copy.

GOOD (all generated with WordPress CMS, not Pagebuilder or VE)
-The focus keyword appears in the URL for this page.
-The meta description contains the focus keyword.
-The page title contains the focus keyword, at the beginning which is considered to improve rankings.
-The page title is between the 40 character minimum and the recommended 70 character maximum.
-In the specified meta description, consider: How does it compare to the competition? Could it be made more appealing?

I have also tried copying over the Visual Editor content to just the Text and Visual tabs to see if that would make a difference–still nothing.

Is there any workaround to get Yoast to acknowledge what is inside my PageBuilder / Visual Editor?
(Does it actually matter, so long as my focus keywords are in the copy and the H2’s and such are present, or do the widgets need to be FULLY communicating with one another?)

    Hi, I Work Here

Unfortunately getting Page Builder working properly with Yoast SEO is quite difficult. There currently aren’t any APIs we can hook into to tell it what content Page Builder has generated. Perhaps this is something they’ll add in the future, but for now, it’s very tightly integrated with the standard WordPress text editor.

We have created a slight hack that does work in most cases. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to work all the time. This isn’t too surprising because our implementation is a little bit hackey.

While we wait for Yoast SEO to add some sort of content API, we’ll continue to improve how we communicate with it. Until they release an update with this API, we can’t guarantee it’ll work all the time.

For now, the only thing we can suggest is to save your page to trigger a reanalysis of your page content. This should work in most cases.

    Greg,

What specific steps do you mean by "save your page to trigger reanalysis of page content"?
Just routine–update page? Or something else?

Thank you for your help and clarification.

    Hi Deanna

Thanks for the wait. That’s right :) Greg meant a routine page Update.

I was advised to enable copy page content and it IS enabled. It just does not copy the text into Yoast SEO.
So I cannot copy any page builder pages. This is not so convenient.
