We are using visual editor with pagebuilder and attempted to embed a video both using and iframe and using the o-embed.
The first time around the page functions normally but after editing, making a change, and then viewing page, the video no longer works.
The SiteOrigin Editor does seem to work. Is this why SiteOrigin created their own version of the visual editor or is this unexpected behavior?

We needed a WYSIWYG field for our new generation of widgets so it was a natural next step to release it as a stand alone widget in the form of the SiteOrigin Editor widget.
I’m not sure why the Visual Editor widget would be having a problem with this. There is a lot of Page Builder integration built into the Visual Editor widget.
To troubleshoot the Visual Editor widget problem you’d need to try:
1. Test the same problem but in a regular widget area at Appearance > Widgets.
2. Test the problem with all other plugins turned off. So just Black Studio and Page Builder activated.
Or, you could use the SiteOrigin Editor for areas that require a video.
now we're having similar but not identical trouble with the siteorigin editor. I'll try your suggestions.
In that case you can treat this a standard problem to troubleshoot. De-activate all plugins not made by SiteOrigin, test, if the issue goes away then slowly re-activate, running a test after each activation.
Run all updates that might be pending at Dashboard > Updates too.
