Visual editor disappeared in hero image

I’m on WordPress 4.3 and went in to edit a hero image and there’s no more editor. I’ve checked that I didn’t accidentally turn it off on my profile and I disabled my WP Edit Pro and still cant get it back. It’s there in a visual editor widget, just not in Hero.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Diane

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

Ok – it took a while because it's on a multisite, but I've isolated it to the Google Drive WP Media plugin. Their WordPress page is at
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-drive-wp-media/

There doesn't seem to be another one that gives me the ability to directly deal with files, both media and others, on my Google Drive, at least not on wordpress.org.

But at least I know what one it is now and I can leave it deactivated for now, but I would like to be using it or one with equivalent functionality. It takes three other plugins to do what this does in one.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the effort. Plugin troubleshooting can be time consuming for sure.

Thanks for reporting the conflict. I’ll make a note of it in our bug tracker. I wish I had an alternative to recommend. Unfortunately, at the moment there isn’t another plugin that I know of.
