Video Player Autoplay only if there’s only one video in page

Hi there, I have a website where two videos should be autoplaying at once. They’re just 4 seconds looping video animation in mp4 with no audio, there like ‘fill’ content.

If there’s only 1 vid in the page, it autoplays.

If I put the second one too, they just display the cover.

Is this intended behaviour or the browser blocking stuff (it shouldn’t) or just a bug?

Hi Andrew, after further investigation it seems that it is intended behavior but I can’t figure it out at what level (browser, player, hoting, standard…)

I have tried to add video via a custom widget of mine using Plyr.io 3.7.8 but still only one player autoplays.

If I use the SO Video Widget for one video, and my video widget for another, the result is still the same.

If I use plain HTML5 element, it just work…
