So we have a video (from youtube) as the very first piece of content on this page, as this whole page was built with SiteOrigin Page builder. However the video does not show up for Safari on Mac computers, but its does work on safari (iphone and ipad) as well as all other browsers and Operating systems.
Any ideas?
(bump)
So no one has Safari (mac computer) issues with SiteOrigin video player?
Hi Bkkornaker,
Oddly, we’re able to replicate this issue on your website but we’re unable to replicate this issue off site. Are you able to add the video through a SiteOrigin Editor widget without issue?
If you can, would it be possible for you to send me an export for this widget? To do this open up the page with the widget and click Layout button in the Page Builder toolbar. Then click import/export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io.
If you can’t, can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
The video is loaded up via the SiteOrigin Slider (supports both images and video). In that slider frame, i simply used an external url for the video (youtube) as the background video
