Vertical menu for Vantage theme

I have a client who wants a vertical menu for his site https://squeezystraw.com.
I can obtain a third-party plugin but was wondering if there is any way to configure the Vantage theme with a vertical menu by using special code.
Thanks

    Hi Buck

    Thanks for reaching out.

Unfortunately, at the moment, there isn’t a vertical menu option in Vantage. Sorry, we don’t have better news. Hopefully, you’re able to set up a vertical menu for the project using a plugin.

    Thanks Andrew!

I managed to get the vertical menu working as you can see here: https://squeezystraw.com <https://squeezystraw.com/>
But whenever I try to delete the horizontal menu, the site goes crazy and puts every page link at the top of the home page. Also the horizontal menu will not show on a smartphone as the primary menu.

Can you help me resolve this problem before I have to move to another theme? Would hate to do that.

I fixed the problem by changing the main menu to WPlook, which is empty.

    Thanks Andrew!

    Hi Buck

Thanks for the update, we’re glad to hear you’re making progress.

At CustomizeTheme SettingsLayout you can set the Masthead Menu to Empty Menu. That will however remove the mobile menu. To display an empty main menu and still make use of the theme’s mobile menu is a bit complex. Here is how you could achieve that https://purothemes.com/documentation/general-wordpress/mobile-only-menu-links/.
