Hi-I may be overlooking an already existing answer, but in the cool image gallery that is default for the page, vertical images don’t seem to get resized. When the images are rotating, all horizontal ones look nice an clean, but as soon as a vertical image comes up, it gets blown out to what I’m thinking the original size. I tried changing sizes in the media settings but nothing seems to work (other than going for default, using the “default” tag you provided in an answer to another issues on this site.) Is the “default” image gallery only for the horizontal images, or how can I make this work?

This is unfortunately a shortcoming of the slider. If it will help, it is possible to change the default size of the slider using: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/. Look for an image size called Origami Slider. Then once you’ve changed that run:

Thank you Andrew. Any plans for future fixes or is the intention to make the slider for horizontal images only? I know there is a way to make each gallery “default” or to disable Origami gallery function globally. If disabled globally, is there a way to enable this beautiful slider for specific galleries only?
On an unrelated note, can you recommend a good plugin for mobile optimization for Origami theme? I used jetpack and dont quite like the result..
There aren’t any changes currently planned…unfortunately.
It’s only possible to leave the gallery on globally and de-activate specific galleries using type=”default”.
It has to be used in a widget area or in our Page Builder plugin, but our simple slider widget could be an option: http://wordpress.org/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/.

I think I finally got over the fact that I can’t use vertical images and have come up with another question for you. What is the optimal size for horizontal images in the Origami slider? I can’t quite figure it out as some images which are similar in size are filling the slider, and others are only covering half of it. I played with size but just can’t figure out what is going on.
