Vantage + Woocommerce + variable products = Not Working!

Hello,

I am using the Vantage Premium theme, works great, looks awesome! WooCommerce is installed I have started customizing my attributes and getting this working how I want them.

When I created a test product (basic, nothing special) and post it. I can add it to the cart no problem.

When I create a variable product (has different color options) and try to add it to the cart it fails.

I did some searching online and found this:
http://develop.woothemes.com/woocommerce/2014/02/solving-common-issues-after-updating-to-woocommerce-2-1/#variable-add-to-cart

the section reads:

Variable products won’t add to cart

Because some themes still bundle old files for the add to cart template being used for variable products, adding a variable product to cart fails. This should be solved by the theme developers by updating the template file.

A quick solution is to delete this file from your theme directory:

/woocommerce/single-product/add-to-cart/variable.php

This will make WooCommerce use the new bundled template file and your variable products will add to cart again. Once your theme developer updates your theme, please check if it actually works as that will overwrite this change again.

I am not sure where

A quick solution is to delete this file from your theme directory:

/woocommerce/single-product/add-to-cart/variable.php

Any help to get my variable products working? I am wanting to launch this website pretty quick.

Also I checked the variable products and they all have prices associated with them, everything shows up as normal to add to the cart but when you push it the page just refreshes.

    http://s491553509.onlinehome.us/ecs/ecs/?product=east-coast-sols-sticker-1-ecs is the variable product

    http://s491553509.onlinehome.us/ecs/ecs/?product=test123 is a regular product.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Shay

Vantage doesn’t bundle WooCommerce so I don’t believe that’s the issue.

I’m able to add the variable pricing product to the cart: http://s491553509.onlinehome.us/ecs/ecs/?product=east-coast-sols-t-shirt. Have you managed to resolve the issue?

Andrew, thanks for the quick reply. This is still an issue. I got impatient and rolled back woocommerce I know the link I provided now works. This is on a site I am trying to launch pretty quickly.

I was able to get i to work by installing an older version of woocommerce before the big update they had. When you update it the variable products break and the fix was listed on woocommerce website as:

    http://develop.woothemes.com/woocommerce/2014/02/solving-common-issues-after-updating-to-woocommerce-2-1/#variable-add-to-cart

they said its a problem with the integration of woocommerce and the theme because the theme is trying to post a variable product a way that its not being done now and thus it cant add to cart.

Give me a day or two and I will create a new site with vantage and the new woocommerce and a variable product.

I may be able to get something up over this weeknd ill reply back ASAP as I would like to use the newest version of woocommerce.

    Andrew,

I got impatient and decided to just get this done.

I created another dummy site so you could take a look.

The dummy site can be found here:

    s491553509.onlinehome.us/ecs/site/

The shop page can be found here:
    http://s491553509.onlinehome.us/ecs/site/?post_type=product

You can see I made two products. One is basic, no features, no variables straight add to cart product. The second product called Variable product has two options, red and yellow. When you select the color and then add it to the cart it fails to add to the cart.

Can you take a look at this when you have time and see if we can find the issue. If I use the older version of woocommerce it works fine but as soon as I upgrade its busted and wont add variable products to the cart.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks I see the issue now! Please could you do one more test for me. Please try this with another theme enabled, perhaps one of the default WordPress themes. Is the issue the same?

Thank you for your very quick replies! I actually solved the problem and have been swamped and not had a chance to update this. The problem was related to a plugin and has been removed and the issue fixed. Thanks for your help!

    You can close this ticket.

    Hi Shay

Thanks for updating us. Really glad to hear you resolved the problem. Plugins have great power in WordPress but as a result also have the power to disrupt.

For anyone else reading this thread, plugin conflicts make up a large portion of the support challenges we face. If you think your problem might be related to a conflict, please run through the steps outlined here:
