Vantage theme Sliders: How do you make them responsive?

By simona6, 6 years ago. Last reply by Alex S, 6 years ago.

We are looking after a new website for someone, and it has sliders at the top. But when you collapse the page down, the sliders don’t resize, they just ‘crop’ on screen so if they have text on them, it’s out of view on a mobile device.

Are they not responsive?

Hope someone can help.

Simon

    Hi Simon,

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

Typically when this happens its due to the slider having settings that prevent it from resizing completely. Settings such as setting a large amount of padding or a height could cause this issue.

    Hi Simon,

I suspect this is a setting issue but due to your slides not using the functionality provided by the hero widget, your best bet would be to recreate the slider inside of a SiteOrigin Slider widget as that widget is perfectly responsive (settings cannot make it responsive).
