Vantage Theme PHP Support

I have been using Vantage Theme since 2014
Recently updated PHP to version 5.6 on windows

I believe version 7 up is only for Linux?

PHP 5.3.28
PHP 5.4
PHP 5.5
PHP 5.6
PHP 7.0
PHP 7.1
PHP 7.2

I can see from these error logs, there appears to be an issue with the PHP version on my website and the theme i am using.

Is version 7++ for linux only – I use Windows –
Is it ok for me to updaton my windows pc now and skip version updates from version 5.6 ?

    Hi Seamus,

    Please reach out to your hosting provider for advice on upgrading PHP and the provided error messages (they appear to be a general configuration error). PHP 7 isn’t only available only for Linux users and can be used Windows. Vantage is compatible with the latest versions of PHP and so are all of our plugins.

    I will update to V 7.2 in that case –

    Last quest please Alex – Is it ok/permissible to update to V 7.2 directly from V 5.6 ?

    Hi Seamus,

    Yes, that’s fine. You don’t need to upgrade version by version and can upgrade directly to 7.2 (or ideally, 7.3). Just be aware that you may have plugins that aren’t compatible with PHP 7 so please double check that all of the plugins you have installed are compatible with PHP 7.
