Vantage Theme Multiple Questions

By jele, 7 years ago. Last reply by jele, 7 years ago.

Hi!

I’ve built another site with Vantage (free): http://www.forefrontmetals.com

It’s pretty much done, but there are some slight issues:

1. Can the menu be fully centered? I believe I have all the settings for it to BE centered, but it’s off to the right just enough to be noticable and, frankly, a bit irritating. :/

2. Can you recommend a smooth scroll plugin that works well? I remember trying a few in the past but finding them all bumpy.

3. The mobile menu works for “testimonials” and “contact” but not for “services”? O.o

4. I have the last row (with map and contact form) set to collaps right over left, but it’s doing left over right regardless of my settings.

Can we fix these issues?

Thank you!

Jele

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Jele,

    1. This is due to how you’ve set up the site title. You’ve hidden the text but haven’t removed the padding/margin so the spacing that’s applied to the site title is still present.

    You can fix this with some custom CSS. If you navigate to AppearanceCustom CSS, you’ll get our custom CSS editor. Just add the following code.

    #masthead.masthead-logo-in-menu .logo, #masthead.masthead-logo-in-menu .logo > h1 {
    	padding: 0;
    	margin: 0;
    }

    You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.

    2. For page jumps or general scrolling? If it’s the latter, I wouldn’t recommend any – I’m not aware of one that’s all that reliable and not jumpy from time to time so I would just avoid it altogether. Sorry mate. :(

    For page jumps, I recommend Page scroll to id.

    3. Hm. I’m not too sure what’s causing that but I would recommend Page scroll to id to bypass this issue. Once installed, please navigate to WP AdminSettingsPage scroll to id and set the Selector to .mobile a and then tick Enable on WordPress menu links. How does that look?

    4. Unfortunately, the Collapse Order doesn’t currently work with the legacy layout. This will be fixed in an upcoming update.
