Vantage theme – full width for header, Post categories and footer

Hello,

I’ve just started building website using Vantage. The theme is simple and flexible.

1) I’ve created a page (named this as Blog) and set this as ‘Blog’ page in the customizer settings
2) I’ve created couple of categories
3) Set the Layout as Full Width

Now my issues are:-
1) Whenever I choose ‘Blog’ menu/page the page is not full width. There is space to the left and right of the header, body and footer
2) Whenever I choose any Category the page is not full width. There is space to the left and right of the header, body and footer
3) But when I choose any individual post then the page is full width.

I’ve spent quite a lot of time, but I am not able to solve this. Please let me know if you need any more information. If needed I can give the site link.

Please help. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Kiran,

    Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on? If you need to keep this URL private from other users, just select “Private Reply” on the bottom right of the comment box.

    Hi Kiran,

    You can change this with some custom CSS. If you navigate to AppearanceCustom CSS, you’ll get our custom CSS editor. Please add the following CSS:

    .full-container {
        max-width: 100% !important;
    }

    You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.

    Hi Alex,

    Thank you very much, it worked. But I was wondering without this code how did the other pages are full width except this blog page.

    Regards,
    Kiran

    Hi Kiran,

    Based on the markup, you set the page layout to full width via the page settings. To access the page settings please open the page in the editor and scroll down to the page settings. Set the page layout to Full Width. The CSS basically prevents you from having to do that as it makes every literally full width rather than full width boxed (which is the default).
