When I set a featured image for a blog post I am pleased how the theme automatically re-sizes the thumbnail image on the blog main page. I like that because no matter what size image I upload, it will always end up looking the same size on my blog list page. However, for some reason the theme doesn’t re-size the featured image enough for it to fit within the box provided for the “post loop” titled latest posts on the vantage home page.
Is there a way to set the post loop widget that the home page uses, to use the same sized thumbnail as the blog thumbnail? Or is there another solution that doesn’t involve uploading a second image and greatly shrinking it for all of my blog posts.

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on? If you need to keep this URL private from other users, just select “Private Reply” on the bottom right of the comment box.
