Hi there
I’ve been using Vantage Premium for a while now and recently the wordpress website has been having issues. I started getting a message saying resource limit reached and the site wouldnt load. I spoke to my provider and they said that my database is too big. They said the way wordpress saves my users is creating too bigger database. So i deleted all my users but it didnt change. I upgraded to a VPS server as they said this will be better as I’ll have more space. That too didn’t help. I’ve now removed most of my plugins, images and even youtube links as I read this takes up a large part of room too. Still didn’t help.
I just wondered if you know what the problem might be. I’m told that the site is requesting upto 3000mb of ram to run.
My site is www.theawakening1111.co.uk if you need to have a look.
Thanks
Carl
Vantage Premium using 2900mb on server

Hi Carl
3000! Wow, that’s a lot of resources for sure. To confirm this for yourself you can try the following plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/query-monitor/
Give it a go. It might give you an idea of where the load is coming from.
(It’s very unlikely Vantage is related to the problem. If you’d like to rule this out you can switch over to a default theme like Twenty Fifteen and re-test the memory usage using Query Monitor. We’ll do our best to advise.)
Hi Andrew,
Many thanks for your replies. I’m trying that plug in now. Will let you know! :)
For sure :) Tough problem. Hope we’re able to find the problem.
Oh wow. I have no idea what all this means. There are loads of queries. 3 in red. I’ll try and post them here. Not sure if it will make sense though as its all over the place. Let me know what you think.
Thanks
Carl

I’m happy for you to login so you can see the whole screen if you need to.
Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:
[email protected]
Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.
Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.
Yeah sure I’ll do it now.
Thanks Andrew! :)
All done. :)

Thanks. If you don’t see the details appear here, in our thread, in the next few mins, then post them manually using the Private Reply checkbox bottom right.
Got it. Thanks.

Did that work?
Thanks. Works. Will take a look shortly.
Phew, sorry, nothing is jumping out at me here. This, unfortunately, isn’t my area of speciality. We do our best to help out with general WP queries like this but there isn’t anything here that I can immediately pass on as a fix.
Going back to where you started you could consider your hosting package OR look at other hosts with these parameters in mind (database size etc.)
If you ever do move your site, use the Duplicator plugin. Works best for Page Builder.
Ah ok, thanks for checking though :)
Sorry, wish we had more on this. Those slow queries aren’t the issue I was hoping we’d find. Not a problem I’ve ever looked into before though. I think we might just be looking at server resource limitations combined with the WordPress is doing things. Your plugin list looked fine to me.
You could start going down this route:
https://www.google.co.za/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=stackoverflow%20wordpress%20reduce%20database%20size
But of course, doing anything database related is a technical task.
Hope you’re able to make progress. Sorry we don’t have more.
