Vantage Premium User-Want to make the first demo page upon installation my static home page

Hi,

Just as a preface, I am building a website with little to no experience or technical ability in this field, however I have enlisted some help with family and friends who know more than me. In addition, I am building it all from localhost using WAMP on my netbook.

I have decided upon the vantage theme as it is one that really fits with the project I am building the website for-the demo page shows 3 circle widget links underneath the metaslider (I have now uploaded my own metaslider for what I will use as the homepage) which I envision as dividing the content of our website into 3 key subsections: spoken word poetry/written work and articles/another visual project.

What I want is for this page (very much in its infancy) to be the home page for the website. However, when I go into my wordpress dashboard and look at the pages section, there is only one page there, which is called sample page, and that is not the same page as the one I’m looking at when I go to appearance>customise . This loads up the page I do want, but I can’t seem to be able to locate that. What I suspect is that the one I am looking at is just an example page…if that is the case, how easy would it be to create a static home page which had a similar build to the ORIGINAL vantage premium page layout-just to reiterate, I really like the tripartite circular widgets with the metaslider sitting above them. The plan would be to have links on the homepage to the key 3 subsections of the website, of which there would be plenty of links on those pages to navigate to other content.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I’m not too familiar with this stuff, but I do have a defined vision in mind for how I want it to look.

Many thanks!

Something I should add: When I install the page builder plugin to further customise this page, it suddenly removes the 3 circular widget details and turns into a normal wordpress blog with the text:

Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start blogging!

This isn’t what I was hoping for

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Jack

Head to Appearance > Home Page and turn it ON, you’ll be prompted to install our Page Builder plugin if you haven’t done so already. You can then edit your home page from that location.

Our Page Builder tutorial can be found here: https://siteorigin.com/page-builder/documentation/

    Hope that helps.
