Hello
just upgraded to premium and the repsonive menu appears on my phone but when pressed does nothing.
additionally the sticky menu is not working when i scroll down…
thanks
Darren
Hi Darren
Do you have a URL I can take a look at to figure out what’s going on with the responsive menu?
The sticky menu is disabled on mobile devices. This is generally seen as a best practice because a sticky menu takes up a lot of the already limited screen space of a mobile device. We are looking at adding an option to keep it enabled on mobile devices if this is something a lot of people want.

Hi Darren
Chances are this is a plugin conflict. Please try the steps outlined here: https://siteorigin.com/troubleshooting/identifying-plugin-conflicts/ and let me know how it goes.
Thanks
yup…sponsor carousel plugin…the one we werent even using..
thnx
love the theme
Super, glad to hear you were able to find the conflict. Thanks for the positive feedback. All the best.
Hi Andrew,
Firstly, thanks for creating the Vantage theme – really enjoying it.
Question however, I can’t seem to find a way to enable the sticky menu for mobile (i.e. iPhone)
I like the way the menu contracts into a singular bar called “Menu” for small devices like a smartphone, but when scrolling down, our readers can get a bit lost…
Could you please let me know if there is a way to make the menu sticky on a smartphone, just like the way the theme responds on a desktop browser?
If interested, our website is http://www.tradeslot.com
Look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
Angelo
Hi Angelo
Thanks for running Vantage; really glad to hear it’s working out well so far.
This has been requested before and we do have it logged to implement. At this stage the mobile menu is unfortunately disabled with no way to easily turn it on again. We need to introduce a setting that will allow users to enable the sticky menu on mobile.
Sorry I don’t have more at this stage.
Can you clarify on what a mobile device is? I want to know at which resolution the sticky menu stops works.
Hi Thomas,
The sticky menu works on the desktop version of out site (which is currently down at the moment).
The sticky menu isn’t working on an iPhone 5S – but I haven’t checked other smart phone devices.
My question was aimed at Siteorigin. At what point is the sticky menu disabled?
Could you please clarify your question?
If you are referring to the demo version of your site [ demo.siteorigin.com ], which I have only just tried out on my phone, the sticky menu is working.
However, I don’t find an option in WordPress admin to turn it on or off…
For our site however, the sticky menu isn’t working – do you have any thoughts or ideas?
Hi Thomas
I answered your query over here: https://siteorigin.com/thread/sticky-menu-on-ipad/
What I said was:
It isn’t based on resolution to my knowledge and uses the http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_is_mobile function.
For further assistance please open a new support thread.
(Angelo, thanks for your replies, hope Vantage is treating you well still!)
Thanks Andrew – just realised that Thomas isn’t a support member of your team.
Vantage is going well – however not at the moment, our site crashed because of a backup plugin I installed yesterday called Updraft Plus – I started a new forum thread about this a couple of hours ago.
Once our site is live again, I’m planning to try a different plugin called BackWPup Free, which I’ve read good things about – any suggestions?
Andrew,
Thanks for the info. I just commented out that line in functions.php and it is now sticky on ipad.
Thanks.
Really sorry to hear about this. I’ll pickup that thread shortly.
Managed to get our site back up & running – however I won’t be trying the “Updraft Plus” plugin again!
What are your thoughts on the “BackWPup Free” plugin? Any comments or suggestions would be much appreciated. I’m looking for a backup-restore plugin that is compatible with the Vantage theme and is easy to use.
Win.
What about checking out: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/. It’s the one plugin that can successfully do a database migration of Page Builder. Not sure about it’s auto backup options though. Perhaps take a look. Greg has tested it along with a few clients with positive results.
Thanks Andrew – I’ll give it a try when I get a chance.
Anyway, back to what this thread was intended for…
I’m not sure why the sticky menu on your demo site works on my iphone, but our company site doesn’t?
http://demo.siteorigin.com/vantage/ VS http://www.tradeslot.com
Any ideas?
That is a very good question.
Please can you temporarily de-activate all plugins not made by us and re-check. Thanks.
I am testing out your theme, and considering buying it, but I am having a problem with the menus not showing up on my home page. Can you please have a look at my site and let me know what I can do to fix it?
Thanks,
James
Whoops, forgot my URL:

Nvm, I figured it out
Glad to hear you made progress jamesgclark. If you need further help, please open a new thread and we’ll jump in there:

Hi Andrew,
Managed to get the sticky-menu working on iPhone – I’ll tell you how.
I rebuilt my site after moving from a Windows server to a Linux server.
After a fresh install of WordPress as well as a fresh install of the Vantage theme – the sticky menu still did not work on my iPhone.
However, after installing W3C TotalCache plugin and configuring the settings, the sticky menu now works.
It now always work on the Home page, but is strangely intermittent on some of my other pages, depending on whether I’m using a strong 4G internet connection or connecting to my weaker home WIFI conection… strange – cant seem to work it out.
Have you guys been doing any updates on the sticky menu to get a more consistent experience for everyone out there? You mentioned that you might implement a checkbox in the settings to turn off/on sticky menu for mobile devices.
Personally, I feel the sticky menu has great usability benefits to mobile users as it is always visible and lets a user know that there is more to a website than just the home page and makes other sub-menu navigation options more obvious.
So to end off – I’m much happier with the Vantage theme now that the sticky menu is working on mobile devices (even though it is intermittent) – if anyone has advice on making the experience more consistent – would love to hear from you!
Hi AG
Thanks very much for your contribution and feedback, it’s most appreciated. Work on this has unfortunately not yet been carried out. I’ll give it a bump on my side.
Thanks again.
I recently upgraded Vantage and for the most part love it. Since doing this my menu won’t work on mobile devices…oops–big issue, right? Can someone please assist me?
