Vantage Premium Comments Help please

Hello! I love this theme and keep coming back to it time and again, but the one thing I don’t like and don’t know how to rectify is the comments – obviously when ppl click the title the comments are at the bottom of the page, but there is no obvious “comments” icon either near the date line, post title or footer and so some people are literally leaving without commenting because it hasn’t occured to the them to click the post title.

Is there anyway I can get a “comments” link or icon near the dateline or footer?

Thanks!

    Hi Editor TEND

    Thanks for your support.

To split posts up using the more tag, forcing readers on the single post page which has the comment form, please see the following recent thread:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/

To add a comment link we’ll need a child theme, let me see if I can work that up for you quickly…

    Here we go:

    https://siteorigin.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/vantage-child-comments-link.zip

The child theme can be installed from Appearance > Themes > Add New: Upload ZIP.

Activating a child theme will cause:

Menu location assignments to become unset.
    All Customizer settings to reset.

Test the child theme out first, if you’re happy with the new comment link you can then clean things up. The easiest way to sort the Customizer out is open Appearance > Customize in one tab and then activate the child theme in another, you can then manually copy settings over.

If you’re already running a child theme, just check mine out and grab what you need.

Sorry, the original link I wanted to send regarding using ‘more’ tag was:

    Thread: “Read More” don`t show
