I understand that from v1.5 (which I have) the mobile version is included in the theme – still want to buy premium when the new system goes live. The menu shows OK on the desktop but on an iPhone 6+ I would have expected the mobile drop-down menu to appear. But it shows the same as the desktop and I cannot find anything obvious to turn it on via the front end at least. The North template works fine without doing anything. The default WP templates are also OK.
I do have another question regarding a problem with list numbering across all templates but will post that as a separate thread.

Hi John,
Very sorry for the delay. Please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceCustomize and then Theme SettingsNavigation and untick the Mobile Menu setting, then save. Retick it and then save again. That should resolve that issue. That setting is, sadly, bugged and requires that to be done to be able to resolve this issue. I know, it’s a weird solution. :(

I followed Alex S’s instructions, but I still get an odd mobile menu. I’m using ShiftNav plugin, which works wonderfully for all sizes, but on my iPhone 6, in portrait, I get this odd mobile navigation that replaces my ShiftNav navigation.

I can’t actually see the “odd menu” you’re talking about but I suspect it’s the Vantage Mobile menu. If so, the steps I outlined above will work as long as you don’t re-enable the mobile menu.
To clarify, there were no changes to the mobile menu between 1.5.1 and 1.5.3 so the version different won’t matter.
Here is something, this site http://montanatap.com uses the fabulist, fantastic Vantage theme and ShiftNav, but the theme version 1.5.1
http://trubysrestaurant.com uses version 1.5.3.
if you can’t fix it, how do I roll back the version?
