Vantage- Meta slider suddenly doublinf slide images

Something strange just happened with the Meta slider on this site- the image is being strangely duplicated. I can’t figure out how to fix it, but it appears that somewhere in the code, the slider is being told to create a second slide and lay it out below itself. It’s quite strange. Any help clearing this up would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Anichols77

    Do you have the width of the images as 1080px? If not, please upload one with such and ensure you have the Stretch Home Slider option in Appearance > Theme Settings > Home ticked

    Try that out and let me know the outcome

    Cheers

    Hi Addo,
    It’s still happening. What seems to be going on is that the full width slide appears as placed, and then two smaller versions of the same image appear directly underneath it. There’s only one slide in the slideshow, so I don’t know why this is happening.

    Actually, it looks like the entire Meta Slider is being duplicated and I don’t quite know what to do about that.

     <div id="main-slider"><!-- meta slider -->
    <div class="metaslider metaslider-flex metaslider-93 ml-slider slider-img nav-hidden" style="width: 100%; margin: 0 auto;">

        <div id="metaslider_container_93">
            <div id="metaslider_93" class="flexslider">
                <ul class="slides">
                    <li class="slide-555 ms-image flex-active-slide" style="display: block; width: 100%; float: left; margin-right: -100%; position: relative; opacity: 1; z-index: 2;"><img width="1080" height="140" class="slider-93 slide-555" alt="" src="http://ipmssg.org/patients/wp-content/uploads/original-e1424728191714-1080x140.jpg" draggable="false"></li>
                </ul>
            </div>

        </div>

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Anichols77

    First of all I apologize for the delayed response. Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    [email protected]

    Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.

    Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Anichols77

    I have checked your backend and seen that you have a couple of non siteorigin plugins. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

    Let me know the outcome

    Cheers

    Hi Addo,
    I disabled all of the plugins and the issue remained- looks like it’s something with MetaSlider. I’ve dropped them a line with a question- might be a glitch with the recent WP updates….

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Anichols77

    Thanks for the big wait.

    header.php in the parent theme had been edited and the slider function inserted a second time:

    <?php vantage_render_slider() ?>

    I’ve removed the duplicate.

    If your thread with Meta Slider is still open and you have time, please let them know we’ve resolved the problem.

    Thanks

    Thanks for that! Looks like my widgets are all messed up now, though! The sidebar widgets aren’t showing up and content of the static page seems to have been widget-ized. What happened?

  11. 9 years, 4 months ago anichols77

    Edit to my last thing- looks like it’s just my sidebar that’s missing.

  12. 9 years, 4 months ago anichols77

    I’m going to be in huge trouble if that sidebar is Missing on Monday. I can’t figure out what’s going on- they appear as styled when I move them to the footer but disappear in the sidebar. What changed?

  13. 9 years, 4 months ago anichols77

    fixed it. The template and the widget on the page didn’t want to show the sidebar for some reason.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Awesome, really glad to hear you made progress. Thanks for keeping us updated.

    (Please remember to use a child theme for any code level edits).

    All the best.
