Hello!
I’ve read all other threads regarding this issue and have tried everything posted but it’s still not working. The header is way too hight and does not adjust whatever I do. Help please? Thank you!
Hi Ainhoa,
Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at your setup? This will allow us to work out what is making your header so large and provide instructions on reducing the overall height.
Hi Alex!
Thanks for your reply.
It’s not finished yet and I had it in maintenance mode, but have published it so you can check it out. It’s http://amenglish.es/.
Thank you very much.
Ainhoa
I seem to have been able to bupass the problem by customizing the header.
However, I have serious problems with the mobile phone layout. It’s not responsive and looks pretty bad, the sizes are all wrong and there’s all sorts of overlap.
I would really appreciate your help.
Again, the website address in http://www.amenglish.es
Thank you ever so much.
Hi Ainhoa,
It’s great to hear you managed to resolve the issue with your masthead sizing. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to be of assistance with that.
Regarding your website on mobile. I can’t seem to see any overlaps. Can you please show me a screenshot of what you’re seeing? Please note that we’re currently unable to process attachments so you’ll need to upload your screenshot to a third party image hosting site like Imgur or vgy.me.
Also, I recommend enabling the Mobile Menu to reduce the size of the menu on mobile. This can be done by navigating to WP AdminAppearanceCustomize, Theme SettingsNavigation and tick Mobile Menu.
Hello Alex!
I’m so sorry to take so long to answer. Pretty hectic week plus my newbie status at the whole webpage thing is driving me a little bit crazy. XD
I will send you a screenshot asap. However, a bigger problem has arisen. There seems to have been a problem with the Internet connection while updating your widget bundle yesterday and somethign has gone wrong. The Header widget is missing or so I’m told by WordPress (on the screenshot, it’s ‘Widget faltante’, in Spanish) in various places on the homepage.
Right at the top of the page there’s a message saying ‘No se ha podido realizar la actualización automática…’ which basically means that ‘WordPress’s automatic update could not be carried out. Please, try again’ but try as I might, it simply does not work.
Do I have to reinstall anything given the update failure? Could you take me through what I need to do, please?
Thank you so very much once again for your assisstance.
Ainhoa
P.d. I don’t know how to upload the screenshots as when I press img it asks me for a url. XD
Hi Ainhoa,
No worries on the delay mate.
Is SiteOrigin Page Builder and the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle still listed at WP AdminPluginsInstalled Plugins?
If you’re still facing issues with receiving updates, I would reach out to your hosting provider and report that your website site having trouble communicating with WordPress.org. They’ll be able to work out what’s going wrong and resolve the issue.
